Press Release
Issued by ExecuJet Middle East.
December 11, 2012
ExecuJet Middle East is upbeat on the future of region's private aviation sector, ahead of its fourth consecutive appearance at MEBA (Middle East Business Aviation Exhibition) – Maktoum International Airport 11-13th December 2012, stand 595.
MEBA has proven to be an important showcase for the company's services and this year will be no exception. On the back of record aircraft movements in November through its recently expanded fixed-based operations (FBO) at Dubai International Airport, now the largest dedicated business aviation terminal in the Middle East, it is looking to continue the growth pattern.
"Our ability to offer full ground handling services in Dubai has already reaped dividends by giving us an enhanced level of control over aircraft arrivals and departures," said Mike Berry, Managing Director, ExecuJet Middle East. "When combined with more extensive and luxurious facilities, this gives us a very strong advantage over our competitors.
"We are naturally delighted by the record movement since extending and improving our ground handling offering in October and we are confident the high level will continue, as the region remains on its recovery path from the economic downturn. December is predicted to be strong, giving us important impetus into the New Year. All countries in the region are active but an increased demand can be seen from The CIS Countries and Saudi Arabia."
Berry adds that the company also plans to invest further in a range of GSE ancillary vehicles and equipment at the Dubai FBO to further enrich the passenger and crew experience. ExecuJet now offers eight lounges and a spacious arrivals zone with guest 'meet and greet' areas along with dedicated VIP parking and convenient limousine drop-off and pick-up access.
"MEBA has always been an important trade event for us and we are very pleased to support and participate again this year," adds Berry. "Dubai's geographical location, positive tax environment, wealth density and excellent infrastructure for the aviation sector continue to be significant contributing factors in the recovery and growth of the private jet and business aviation sectors. MEBA definitely serves as an excellent opportunity to showcase and promote ExecuJet's full range of aviation services," he said. Dubai is not the only FBO in the MENA region in which ExecuJet Middle East has invested.
Istanbul FBO Services continue to grow
Meanwhile, the extended strategic partnership with Bilen Air Service in Istanbul is reaping benefits. In the year since the JV was formed, there has been a 25 per cent increase in aircraft handled including a number of BBJs, reflecting the FBO's ability to handle more and bigger aircraft. Among those experiencing the excellent service were the National Basketball Association's Boston Celtics, who visited Istanbul during their recent world tour.
In summer this year, ExecuJet extended extending the company's strategic partnership with Bilen Air Service in Istanbul to include aircraft handling at Sabiha Gokcen Airport, thus providing 24/7 support capability to the city following the recent introduction of general aviation (GA) flight restrictions at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.
