October 12, 2012
Tecnam today announced that the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued Major Change Approval 10041602 confirming the increase in the Tecnam P2006 Twin's VLE and VLO increment of speed limitations from 92 KCAS to 119 KCAS.
This further development to the Tecnam P2006T Twin's capabilities follows on from EASA validating an increase in the P2006T Twin's MTOW to 1230 kg earlier this year.
'With the certification of the increase of the VLE and VLO speed limitations to 119 KCAS and the major increase in the MTOW to 1230 Kg earlier this year, our Tecnam P2006T is an even more attractive aeroplane for customers purchasing twin aeroplanes,'' said Paolo Pascale, Tecnam's managing director. ''We have accelerated production to meet this unprecedented demand and I am delighted that Tecnam is firmly established as the world's Number 1 for light twin aircraft deliveries."
The Tecnam P2006T Next-Generation twin is in a class of its own, bringing affordable multi-engine flying to aero-clubs, flying schools, syndicates and private aircraft owners. In addition, the P2006T has sparked significant interest on a larger scale for charter/air-taxi usage as well as a platform for surveillance and observation for government usage. The P2006T offers unbeatable value, coupled with low operating and ownership costs, innovative design and Italian styling. The Rotax '912S' engine (plus the option of a Garmin glass cockpit) allows the Tecnam P2006T to lead with respect to the environment too. With both a remarkable fuel saving offering and much lower noise emissions, it is redefining both the flight training and aircraft ownership experience in one step.
