Gama Aviation FZE achieves UAE GCAA CAR Part M maintenance management approval

Gama, the global business aviation and services group today announced that the United Arab Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority ('UAE GCAA') has approved Gama Aviation FZE as one of the first UAE based business jet operators to achieve CAR Part M Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Management Organisation certification.

CAR Part M is the latest continued airworthiness management requirement designed to ensure the highest level of safety and quality, which is overseen by the operator themselves, rather than the regulatory authority. The approval comes following an in-depth and detailed application and audit process.

"This significant change in legislation came into effect throughout the United Arab Emirates on the 1st of July and I view it as strong recognition from the GCAA demonstrating its faith in the skills and experience of the team here at Gama in the Middle East," said Dave Edwards, managing director, Gama Aviation FZE. "The Middle East and North Africa are key markets for Gama and we are committed to further developing the wide range of Gama business aviation services we provide in the region, especially as we build on our maintenance and ground handling capabilities at Sharjah International Airport."
