Concorde Battery chosen as original equipment for new production Piper aircraft – Mirage, Matrix and Seneca

Concorde Battery is proud to announce that Piper Aircraft, Inc. has selected Concorde batteries for new production Mirage, Matrix, and Seneca aircraft.

The RG24-17 (Piper P/N 601-919) is now Original Equipment on the PA-46-350P Mirage and the PA-46R-350T Matrix aircraft. The RG24-17 is a Sealed Lead Acid RG® (recombinant gas) maintenance free battery; no water replenishment is ever required. Piper has also released Piper Service Letter 1128 approving upgrades to the increased capacity battery on Piper models PA-46-350P and PA-46-350T with Piper Kit 88495. This kit provides the necessities to transition from all previously certified battery types to Concorde's sealed Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) maintenance free battery. Converting to Concorde's sealed battery ensures no acid spray and no battery box cleanup.

The RG24-20 (Piper P/N 601-923) and RG-132 (Piper P/N 601-924) have been selected as the Original Equipment main and emergency batteries on new production PA-34-220T Seneca aircraft. The RG24-20 is a 19 AH Sealed Lead Acid starting battery and the RG-132 is a 6 AH Sealed Lead Acid auxiliary battery.
