EASA STC for 5-blade propeller on Cessna 208B Caravan

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the EASA STC for the next generation 5-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR245-55a on the Cessna 208B Caravan powered by P&WC PT6A-114(A) engines. The installation is certified by EASA STC No.10039667.

With this STC, the Cessna 208B can be used especially for parachute dropping operators again without any limitations due to noise. The propeller installation:

- provides best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations

- has bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades

- provides significant inside and outside noise reductions

- provides increased ground clearance for less blade tip erosion

- provides maximum durability and reliability and is suitable for all weather operation

- has an unbeatable aesthetic ramp appeal

The high technology natural composite blades have no life limitation and can even be repaired in case of a FOD.

All models comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010 – "Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung" – for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European countries.
