Asia Pacific Aerospace Pty Ltd (APA), a member of the Rolls-Royce M250 FIRST network as an Authorized Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (AMROC), is pleased to announce plans to relocate and expand its commercial gas turbine engine maintenance repair and overhaul capabilities to a purposely designed Rolls-Royce M250 total support facility at Eagle Farm, Brisbane, that will nearly double its current factory footprint.
The additional capacity will consolidate the maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities of the Rolls-Royce M250 from the company's Pinkenba (Brisbane) and Melbourne facilities to a single facility at Eagle Farm.Once the relocation is complete, the Eagle Farm facility will be the primary source of support for the Rolls-Royce M250, and future Rolls-Royce series engines. The relocation and expansion at Eagle Farm will allow the facility to focus on increasing production for current and future Rolls-Royce engine series.
This expansion offers the company the occasion to increase its test cell capabilities to a total of three test cells. These new test cells are world class and support the full range of present and future Rolls-Royce small to medium gas turbine engines.
"This expansion is driven by growing demand for Rolls-Royce M250 maintenance, repair and overhaul services and will position our operations in Australasia and further afield to continue to grow and exceed customer needs as we drive to APA's strategy and goals." said Steve Mason, APA CEO.
The expansion and growth plan includes the purchase of an additional 1600 square metre engineer-designed facility, bringing APA's facility's footprint to approximately 3100 square metres of workshop area within Australia. When the new facility is fully operational and at full capacity, it is anticipated APA will add more than 10 new employee positions.
