K-Air, headquartered in Kochi, India is pleased to announce that it has been appointed by Kaman Helicopters as the Kaman Helicopters Sales representative for India. K-Air will be promoting sales for the Medium Lift Helicopter – K-MAX also known as the Aerial truck
With a basic AUW of 5145lbs, the single-engine, single-seat K-MAX is a rugged workhorse that can lift 6000lbs and is specially designed for lift applications such as construction, repair of power lines, oil rigs, pipelines, firefighting, disaster relief and logistics support. Especially suited for hot and high conditions, the K-MAX has the highest reliability rate, lowest maintenance, and highest lift-to-fuel-burn rate ratio in its class.The unmanned version of K-MAX is supporting the requirements of the U.S. Marine Corps Cargo Resupply Program and the TIME Magazine has named the K-MAX Unmanned Aerial Truck (UAT) one of "50 Best Inventions of 2011".
