Flightcare press release-II Collective Agreement

On 29th February, Flightcare, the airport services company belonging to the FCC Group, and which provides passenger, ramp and cargo handling, signed its II Collective Agreement. This agreement will regulate the working conditions of over 1800 employees for a three year period 2008-2010.

The final text of the agreement will be agreed together with the CCOO, UGT and USO trade unions over the next few days.

This new collective labour agreement is the first one to be signed off in Spain by an independent (not pertaining to an airline) handling company, following AENA's (Spanish Airports Authority) tender process initiated in July 2006, which lead to the start of handling services by new companies at Spanish airports between December 2006 and March 2007.

In the year 2006, Flightcare was successful in being awarded seven passenger and ramp handling licences in Spain, namely at Barcelona, Málaga, Valencia, Alicante, Almería, Jerez and Fuerteventura airports. Furhermore, Flightcare offers full cargo handling facilities at Madrid, Bilbao, Barcelona, Málaga, Valencia, Alicante, Almería, Jerez and Fuerteventura.

In addition to the Spanish handling activity, Flightcare is also present in Belgium and Italy, making it a leading name in the current handling activity in Europe.

With the confirmation of this union agreement, Flightcare has become the pioneer amongst other companies in this sector, having achieved a suitable working framework for its employees.
