Standard Aero now offers a Rolls-Royce approved repair procedure for the Rolls-Royce Model 250 Series II first-stage Mar-M nozzles, as well as the Series IV second-stage turbine nozzles.
Utilizing a new OEM nozzle casting, the worn/damaged gas path is replaced and assembled with the overhauled diaphragm. The new repair will be applicable to nozzles that have unserviceable outer-bands or where the rework costs to repair exceed the cost of the outer-band repair.
"By using an outer-band casting replacement repair, Standard Aero is able to provide our customers new nozzle performance and longevity for less than the new part cost," said Doug Roberge, Engineering Director, Heli SBU, for Standard Aero.
Standard Aero is the first authorized maintenance center approved by Rolls-Royce to perform this repair. This Rolls-Royce Model 250 repair is performed at Standard Aero's Winnipeg, Manitoba facility.
