European Skytime, a private jet charter business established in 2000, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Farnborough-based AOC operator; Manhattan Jet Management.
Manhattan Jet Management – formerly known as Manhattan Jet Charter – is a leading British private aircraft management and charter business. Manhattan Jet Management was founded in 1993 and is today one of Europe's most established jet management companies boasting five jets under management; three Bombardier Learjets and two Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1 aircraft.
European Skytime began its relationship with Manhattan Jet management in 2010 when it placed its own two Learjets under management at the company's Farnborough facility. The potential synergies between the two companies were obvious from the beginning; both companies have a similar approach to quality operations, safety and customer service. Manhattan Jet Management boasts an exemplary safety record while European Skytime employs a considerable charter broker sales and marketing infrastructure. So when in 2011 an opportunity arose to acquire the AOC operator and aircraft management business European Skytime moved quickly to add the company to its own proposition.
Steve Westlake, Managing Director of both organisations explained: "We recognised the potential of Manhattan Jet Charter when we placed our two European Skytime Learjets with the management company back in 2010. They were a small AOC operator with an excellent reputation for safety and service levels who offered a very flexible and bespoke service which suited us well." He went on to say: "European Skytime has a 12 year history of providing super-efficient top-level charter brokerage through its highly developed infrastructure so, as the relationship between the two companies grew, we saw the benefit of adding Manhattan Jet Charter's services to our own; combining the very best assets of both. Our whole approach is based on clean and simple efficiencies throughout the organisation promoting a preventative culture to safety and change management. Combine this with some unique charter and management products and you have a good business foundation.
"The new-look company, boasting a 30 strong team, will continue to offer a comprehensive charter service through its European Skytime arm while offering a bespoke management option for aircraft owners through Manhattan Jet Management. As an AOC operator we are able to combine both of these strengths offering a comprehensive solution to private jet travel, whether you are a passenger looking to charter a jet, a corporate business looking to eliminate unnecessary travel costs, or an aircraft owner looking to offset some of the cost associated with aircraft management."
In 2012 the CAA authorised a name change from Manhattan Jet Charter to Manhattan Jet Management. The new name and subtle rebranding mark the beginning of a new era for the company to reflect the specific direction it is now taking. The distinctive new logo, featuring a triple-stroke winged design, adorns the hangar and operational offices at Farnborough Airport and appears on all company stationery and collateral. The smart new look is complimented with a new website show casing the fleet in its entirety with an additional online booking facility.
