Mechtronix Systems Inc., an MWC company, a world leading manufacturer of Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD), today announced that IFAERO has chosen to equip its Nice-based training centre with a new Citation CJ1+ Full Flight Trainer FFT™ – the only device to exceed the stringent requirements set by the Nice Côte d'Azur Chambre de commerce et d'industrie (CCI) in a tender process including three participants.
The acquisition of the FFT™ will allow IFAERO to significantly expand its training capabilities and broaden its customer range not only across Europe, but also worldwide.
By selecting Mechtronix, IFAERO can now offer an optimal training environment for type rating training as well as entry level programmes for pilots preparing to fly business jets says Henri Saïssi IFAERO Director: "Mechtronix offers the best solution both from a commercial and technical standpoint, and will enable us to strengthen our credentials as one of the fastest-growing and best equipped Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) in France for the bizjet Cessna Citation (C525)," he says.
The Mechtronix FFT™ configured as a CJ1+ comprises a multi-channel 220° x 40° visual system, an RSI XT Image Generator, and a Rockwell Collins Flight Management System (FMS) 3000 for both pilot and co-pilot. IFAERO will look to obtain FNPT ll MCC / FTD 2 qualification by the French aviation authorities, Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC).
IFAERO represents a hat-trick of client wins for Mechtronix for its CJ1+ FFT™ device; Lufthansa Flight Training Bremen (Germany) and China's largest aviation university CAFUC already operate nine devices between them.
