The BBGA is pleased to announce that after a thorough selection process it is confirming that the successful candidate for the post of operations and development manager is Lindsey Oliver, one of its existing team. Having looked at nineteen applicants and interviewed six external candidates, Lindsey was the BBGA's first choice.
Lindsey Oliver has worked for the BBGA in a part time capacity for three years. During this time she has worked with the team in all areas including the annual conference and House of Commons event together with organising the SMS toolkit workshops and development of the new website.
Lindsey graduated from Harper Adams University College, Shropshire in 1999 after studying agriculture and business. Her first position following university was at Heygates Mills, Northants. This was a graduate training sales role and focused on face to face client relations. After nearly three years she moved to a position with the National Farmers Union in Oxfordshire. Her position here involved selling of insurance and financial products together with attending regular meetings for the local union of farmers. Topical issues of the time included BSE and 2001 foot and mouth outbreak. Lindsey worked part time at the Buckinghamshire Agricultural Association whilst her two sons were very young before joining BBGA.
Lindsey and her husband Edward also own a small property rental business letting rural business units near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
The BBGA is sure that you will want to join it in welcoming Lindsey to her new role and is certain that she will continue to support the membership for many years to come.
