Al Bateen Executive Airport, the dedicated business aviation airport of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), announced today that the Abu Dhabi Air Expo, the region's first general aviation exhibition, will gather a significant number of major participants from the international and local general aviation community at the inaugural show. Aviation businesses will bring aircraft to the static display and share the latest innovations in the general aviation industry.
Embraer will be one of the key participants showcasing the ultra-large Lineage 1000 executive jet. In addition Falcon Aviation Services and Al Jaber Aviation will present a total of four Legacy 600 and two Lineage 1000 aircraft. Bombardier, Hawker and Cessna, amongst others, will also be part of this unique show bringing aircraft to the static and showcasing their latest products to all visitors. Fujairah International Airport will have a strong presence demonstrating its support of the development of the General Aviation sector in the region.
The show which will run from 6th – 8th of March 2012, will act as a catalyst bringing pilots, aircraft owners and aviation enthusiasts together to view the latest in general aviation technology and innovation. The exhibition will feature a wide range of aviation products from pilot equipment and aviation accessories through to aircraft for sale. Air Expo will showcase for the first time in the Middle East, the TBM 850, the fastest single turboprop in the world. With a maximum cruise speed of 593 km/h at 7 940m, the TBM 850 combines the cruising speed and flying times typical of light jets with operating costs, low environmental signature, range and excellent payload exemplified by turboprop aircraft.

"The inaugural show will attract more than 100 companies to showcase their products and services to more than 5,000 visitors daily," added Al Hammadi.
