Paraparaumu Airport Ltd is pleased to announce that it has changed its name to Kapiti Coast Airport Ltd effective 2 May 2011.

Airport majority owner Sir Noel Robinson was delighted that the new name was a great way to symbolize a new future for the airport.

With much of the previously announced multi million upgrade now underway, a resumption of commercial flights for the airport after nearly 50 years of little activity and investment is expected in late September.

"Adopting Kapiti Coast into the airport name better reflects the region that the airport serves and provides consistency in the way that the region promotes itself "Sir Noel said.
