Hong Kong Jet awarded AOC

Hong Kong-based business jet operator, Hongkong Jet, has been awarded an air operator's certificate (AOC) from the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD), following a comprehensive review by HKCAD of the strength of Hongkong Jet's flight operations, safety management system, maintenance management, and flight dispatch.

Chris Buchholz, CEO of Hongkong Jet, said "we are very excited to have been awarded an AOC by the highly respected Hong Kong CAD, which is well known for having very high flight and airworthiness standards. Our customers are very pleased to finally have access to 100% charter-dedicated ultra-long haul G550 business aircraft in our region with impeccable 5-star service.

The operator expects to see strong growth in the coming years, especially in greater China and other Asian markets, it said in a statement.

It added that it is "focused on becoming a market leader in a number of different areas of business aviation through both organic growth and acquisitions in Asia and beyond".

Hongkong Jet. Established in 2009, Hongkong Jet was set up as an international business jet operator headquartered in Hong Kong, spanning private jet aircraft management, business jet charter, aircraft maintenance management, aircraft sales and other offerings.

Hong Kong Jet is a subsidiary of HNA Group, the fourth biggest aviation group in China, which includes a 5-star Skytrax ranked major airline in Mainland China, a Hong Kong based airline, and the largest operator of business jets in Mainland China.
