Press Release
Issued by Princely Jets.
November 14, 2011
Pakistan's Princely Jets will get delivery in June 2012 of one EC130 B4 helicopter in a corporate configuration, confirming its longstanding strategic relationship with Eurocopter.
The agreement was signed on 15th November 2011, by Ghouse Akbar, the CEO of Princely Jets, and Eurocopter during the Dubai Airshow exhibition. It covers the delivery of the EC130 B4, as well as spares and services.
The helicopter branch of Princely Jets is operating a fleet of 3 BO105, mainly chartered by private customers or Non Governmental Organizations, for passengers' transportation and medical evacuations. Princely Jets is Pakistan only private helicopter charter operator in addition to being the only medevac operator.
Princely Jets' BO105s have been intensively used during summer 2010 during the important humanitarian crisis which affected Pakistan following the major floods. During this period and to ensure a continuous assistance to the victims, a special and generous support has been offered by Eurocopter to Princely Jets for BO105 operations with on-site technical assistance and spares.
Thanks to this support and full availability of aircraft, Princely Jets has supported many initiatives.
Princely Jets has selected the EC130 B4 as the quietest and most spacious light single-engine helicopter on the market, in the goal of developing its passenger transportation activity. Princely Jets will base this first helicopter dedicated to Corporate clientele in Karachi, economic capital of Pakistan.
After successful hot weather campaign of the EC130 B4 throughout Pakistan in Summer 2008 which evidenced the perfect adaptation of this helicopter to extreme operational environment, this sale is the first EC130 B4 in Pakistan and represents an excellent door opener to the expanding civilian market. This acquisition is also a testimony of the excellent relationship between this privileged civil customer, Princely Jets, and Eurocopter.
