Middle East and UK-based business aviation services company Rizon Jet has announced that it has appointed Harold Stoddard as Acting CEO. Leading a new management team, Mr. Stoddard will prepare Rizon Jet for the next phase of its strategic development. Qatar-based parent company Ghanim bin Saad Al Saad and Sons Group Holdings (GSSG Holdings) has already invested $50 million to set up infrastructure for Rizon Jet in London and Doha.
At the Biggin Hill terminal, Rizon Jet has carried over 2000 passengers and handled in excess of 450 aircraft movements since May 2011. Due to this impressive growth, Rizon Jet is confident of being fully ready for the anticipated increase of business brought by the 2012 London Olympic Games. The company has been preparing by revamping its management team and extending the range of aircraft services offered, in particular by securing approvals for the management and maintenance of a number of new aircraft models.
Rizon Jet's Biggin Hill facility will be increasing capacity to cope with the expected demand in 2012. In the run-up to the Games, the company will work with its London partners to offer its clients a helicopter service and a VIP limousine service, and will also be launching a community initiative in the coming months to train London students as tour guides for VIP guests during the Olympics.
Rizon Jet's Doha MRO is in the final stages of securing EASA base maintenance approvals for the Bombardier Global series, Challenger series and Hawker series. In the coming year, Rizon Jet Doha plans to secure additional approvals for Bermuda, UAE and Saudi Arabia. The Qatar AOC will also be taking on private management of an A319CJ in early 2013 and a new Global 6000 in mid 2013.
Acting CEO Harold Stoddard commented on the change of management, saying, "The previous management team did a wonderful job in building the foundation and facilities that will enable Rizon Jet to deliver on its commitment to excellence. Our focus is now shifting from the start-up phase to running of the VVIP Executive Terminal, Maintenance Facility and Aircraft Management / Charter Operation."
Mr. Stoddard added, "Our strategy remains the same and that is to provide 7-star service in everything we do; whether providing unparalleled world class executive passenger handling facilities and services, providing aircraft charter services that focus on the customer's experience, managing aircraft while ensuring the integrity of the asset's value is maximized or maintaining business jets to standards that exceed industry norms."
