Falcons surpass 15,000,000 flight hours

Dassault Falcon recently achieved a significant milestone: 15,000,000 flights hours for the Falcon fleet. Since 1965, Dassault has delivered nearly 2,150 Falcons. The fleet leader, a Falcon 20, has nearly 35,500 flight hours.

"Milestones of this nature are a significant achievement in the history of Dassault and are a testament to the reliability, loyalty and popularity of Falcon business jets," said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. "However, it is our customers who deserve recognition. We use the term 'Falcon Family' quite often in our company and the customer is always at the center.. Without their support, milestones of this nature are meaningless."

Falcon business jets include six primary models, the Falcon 20, Falcon 10, Falcon 50, Falcon 900, Falcon 2000, all of which include numerous derivatives, and Falcon 7X. Falcon's are currently in operation in nearly 80 countries throughout the world. In addition, 32 government and military entities use Falcons everyday for VIP transport, search and rescue missions.

Over the years, Falcons have been synonymous with some of the biggest names in aviation. Charles Lindberg, working on behalf of Juan Trippe, the founder of Pan American Airways, picked the Falcon 20 to launch a new venture: Pan Am Business Jets. Federal Express was launched with a fleet of Falcons and the United States Coast Guard ushered in the era of jet powered search and rescue airplanes with a Falcon.

If converted to nautical miles, the approximate distance Falcons have flown is over 6 billion nautical miles which is roughly 14,500 round trips to the moon.
