Press Release
Issued by Raisbeck Engineering.
September 1, 2011
Officials of the Chinese Civil Aviation Authority (CAAC) visited Raisbeck Engineering's Seattle headquarters on August 30, 2011, to complete certification requirements for Raisbeck Performance Systems in China. The first two Raisbeck systems to go through the process are Dual Aft Body Strakes (DABS) and Nacelle Wing Lockers (NWLS) for the King Air 350. Sales of these systems into China are imminent according to Bill Lally, Raisbeck's FAA Coordinator.
Visiting Seattle from the CAAC were Shen Guofeng, Deputy Director and Airworthiness Inspector, and Wu Jian, Deputy Director General and General Engineer. Both are with the Certification Division of the CAAC's East China Administration in Shanghai.
"We have now completed requirements for Chinese certification of two of our many Performance Systems, and we expect certification notification soon," according to Mr. Lally. "Our other systems are being queued up to follow in due process."
CAAC's visit to Raisbeck Engineering follows Lally's visit to Shanghai earlier in August, in coordination with Hawker Beechcraft.
Raisbeck Engineering continues to expand the availability of its Performance Systems around the globe in order to meet the needs of its customers. The first Raisbeck King Air System delivery was made in June 1982. Worldwide, more than 3000 King Airs are currently Raisbeck-equipped.
