Market demand sees further expansion for IBA team

Following a number of recent senior appointments, the International Bureau of Aviation (IBA) is pleased to welcome Kane Ray to their growing consultancy team and appraisal personnel. Kane joined IBA earlier this month, as an Aviation Analyst.

Kane's primary focus will be to support IBA's busy Consultancy and Appraisal division with aircraft engine valuations and related research. Owen Geach, IBA's Commercial Director, comments "The industry is poised for Lessor consolidation and large sales, such as RBS Aviation, and Kane's appointment helps to ensure that we have the right level of manpower, expertise and information available to maximise these market opportunities and potential demand increases. We are also seeing more requests for engine related consultancy coming into the business, so another key part of Kane's role is to specialise in this area, further supporting our existing team of expert analysts and consultants."

Prior to joining IBA, Kane obtained a BSc in Air Transport Management from Loughborough University in 2011, studying core areas such as aviation finance, airline and airport management, aviation safety, and transport economics. Before attending Loughborough University, Kane was awarded a BTEC National Diploma in Civil Engineering from the St Helens College Technology Campus in 2007.

Geach continues "Despite this being Kane's first commercial position, we were impressed by his interesting and robust educational background, as well as his enthusiasm for the role. We were also delighted to receive over 100 applications for this graduate trainee position, showing that IBA is an employer of choice, attracting the top new talent coming into the industry."
