A signing ceremony between Ikhmas Jaya Sdn Bhd and AIROD Sdn Bhd for the building of hangar 77 was held on 26th May 2011. The contract was signed by AIROD CEO Dato' Kamil Aziz and Ikhmas Jaya Managing Director, Dr Khoo Ping Sen and witnessed by AIROD president, Tan Sri Dato' Ahmad Johan.

In November 2010, AIROD president witnessed the ground breaking ceremony to start the construction of the new hangar. A 52,000 sq ft aircraft maintenance hangar is expected to be ready by March 2012. This would be AIROD's 7th hangar to be built in its main facility in Subang. The hangar can accommodate up to two (02) Boeing 737 aircraft and will be equipped with workshops and offices together with parking apron.

The new hangar will increase the company's hangar space availability to meet the increasing future requirement.
