Aviatrax S.A., the Luxembourg-based aviation industry consultancy, and Aviation Consulting Ltd, a UK technical services company, have announced a new joint-collaboration whereby Aviation Consulting Ltd begins trading as Aviatrax Technics LTD.
Aviatrax Technics has Continuous Airworthiness Management Organization subpart G and I approval, issued by the UK CAA (EASA Part M requirements) and Cayman CAA (OTAR 39 requirements), and also Maintenance Coordinator approval under the provisions of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order or AN(OT)O, which governs the operational control and airworthiness of Cayman registered aircraft.
In addition to continued airworthiness management, Aviatrax Technics offers a range of supplementary technical services to include:
- Maintenance organisation selection and contract negotiation of maintenance support contracts and the oversight of aircraft maintenance;
- The management of warranty or service support contract(s);
- Survey of an aircraft and the aircraft's technical records and aircraft technical library support;
- The development, approval, management and printing of a technical log and MEL;
- Oversight of the aircraft delivery, including the application for CofR, CofA, radio licence, noise certificate, navigation approval, registration of the ELT's, mode S and SELCAL codes; and
- Audit services
Michael "Mike" Butt (59) who has an impressive 40+ year career in the aviation industry, notably with Hawker Siddeley Aviation, takes the lead as Managing Director of Aviatrax Technics. Mike is a qualified (EASA-licensed) Aeronautical Engineering and IOSA Maintenance and Engineering Auditor, with extensive experience of Airbus A300, A310, A320 and A330/340 families and Boeing 747, 737, 757, 767 and 777 and related powerplants.
A former FAA Part 145 Repair Station Chief Inspector, he has also held several engineering and maintenance quality and safety management positions with major airline companies. Most recently he has been active in the continued airworthiness management of corporate jets. He holds or has also held licenses issued by the UK CAA, UAE DGCA, Hong Kong CAD and Malaysia DCA.
