Manx2.com expands its fleet

Manx2.com has signed contracts to add two new aircraft to its fleet, which will be based in the Isle of Man. Both aircraft are modern 19 seat Dornier 228 turboprop aircraft. The first aircraft will be delivered in December with the second early in the New Year. These two new aircraft will bring Manx2.com's fleet up to six.

"The success of our routes to date has demonstrated the need for frequent services to regional airports", says communications director James Filleul. These two new aircraft will enable us to offer even more flights next year, as well as expanding our route network".

The Dornier 228 is widely used by many scheduled operators worldwide because of its versatile performance capability and reputation for reliability, economy and passenger comfort.

"All of Manx2.com's routes are performing well, and our new Freedom Fare of £15 is proving immensely popular, and really helping to build visitor numbers to the Isle of Man over the period, as well as providing choice and the freedom to fly for local people. Therefore, we believe it is time to

extend our commitment to the Isle of Man still further, and base two more aircraft here".

"The Dornier 228 is really comfortable plane, and is just about ideal for the routes we are flying. It means 2008 will see more aircraft, on more

manx2.com flights on more routes – we think that's good news all round!"
