Opheim brings with him nearly 30 years of experience in business aviation, with most of his career in positions throughout Rockwell Collins. He spent 10 years as a dispatcher in the Rockwell Collins flight department, followed by five years in their regional airline marketing division. Opheim then spent 15 years in the commercial systems business aviation sales area for the company, finishing his career at Rockwell Collins as Director of Eastern Region Aftermarket Sales.

Satcom Direct is truly committed to the customer," said Mike Opheim. "The business aviation industry continues to demand connectivity, and Satcom Direct is dedicated to providing current and future services to meet all of the overall industry needs."
Opheim comes to Satcom Direct most recently from MarathonNorco Aerospace where he was Director of Sales and Marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Administration from the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa, and Opheim also holds his private pilot's license.
"We are glad to welcome Mike to the team, as he brings a wealth of knowledge about the business aviation industry to our organization," said Jim Jensen, founder and owner of Satcom Direct. "His experience will help guide us as we continue to roll out new products and services over the entire fleet of business aircraft platforms."
