Embraer Executive Aircraft, São José Dos Campos Brazil has selected Alto Aviation as the baseline IFE audio system for all Legacy 600 aircraft. The first Legacy installation was unveiled at this year's NBAA static aircraft display in Atlanta. The premium Alto cabin audio system utilizes six mid/high enclosures, three subwoofers and two customized EQ amplifiers. The total weight of the system is only 21.4 pounds.

Using acoustic modeling with proprietary software, Alto's engineers have ensured that the cabin passengers will hear the music as the original artist intended. The system design was customized for optimum performance in the Legacy 600 cabin resulting in a high performance, realistic audio reproduction for both music and movies and helps to reduce listener fatigue in the aircraft cabin. Alto has designed the system so that size and weight have been minimized while still producing unrivaled sound quality in the industry. Alto worked closely with Embraer to custom design its premium audio system to fit the requirements of the aircraft while maintaining the best possible audio quality for the passengers. New mid/high frequency speaker enclosures were designed to fit within the size constraints of the PSU. A new subwoofer was also designed to fit under a seat base to optimally locate the subwoofer for bass output in the mid cabin area. "Our flexibility and quick turn around time allowed us to work closely with Embraer engineers to create the best system solution for the aircraft in minimal time", commented Don Hamilton, President of Alto Aviation.
