Prestige Jet, the new, fast-growing, private aviation company operating out of Abu Dhabi International Airport, has been accepted as a member of the Flight Safety Foundation.
Faris Deeb, CEO of Prestige Jet said that the airline shares the same mission as the Foundation, which is to pursue the continuous improvement of aviation safety and the prevention of accidents.
"Safety is integral to our operations, and acceptance as a member of the Flight Safety Foundation is a further illustration of our commitment to ensure that we adopt the best aviation safety practices at all times," he said.
Prestige Jet joins more than 1,000 other members from 142 countries who collectively represent a “who’s who” of industry leaders from airlines, helicopter manufacturers, corporate operators, suppliers, insurance companies, regulators and others.
Through the Flight Safety Foundation, Prestige Jet will, among others, anticipate, identify and analyze global aviation safety issues and set priorities, and participate in a forum where air carriers, manufacturers, suppliers, maintenance organizations, aviation regulatory agencies and flight crewmembers share information, ideas and best practices for safety.
"In the safety realm, there are no competitors," adds Deeb. "The Flight Safety Foundation, often referred to as the “conscience of the industry,” is impartial, nonprofit, and global and a driving force for major initiatives toward progress.
"It has contributed significantly to the evolution of aviation safety and the saving of lives and we are delighted to be part of the organisation. "
