SEFA (Service de l'Exploitation et de la Formation Aéronautique), France's national, public flight-training institution, has selected Mechtronix as a supplier for its flight training tool development project. This sale to an aeronautical renowned public institution reinforces Mechtronix' expertise in glass avionics suites. Mechtronix has recently delivered a major order of glass avionics suites equipped with the Garmin 1000 panel to other training institutions.
Mechtronix will be supplying instrument panels to be incorporated into flight training devices manufactured by SEFA, for students to use them as part of their instrument training. The two educational simulators will become a component of SEFA's fleet renewal process. The organization recently placed an order for DA-40 and DA-42 aircraft.
"Mechtronix came to us with a versatile product that meets our expectations in terms of both quality and cost. The company's well-known expertise in the glass cockpit field facilitates the integration of instrument panels with our systems," said Gilles Maniglier, head of SEFA's equipment simulation division.
"Mechtronix is delighted to be able to deal with SEFA – a public organization recognized for its exceptional quality and its professionalism, and an essential player in the world of French aeronautical training. We hope this contract will mark the beginning of a lengthy relationship. SEFA's order of Mechtronix equipment confirms our leadership in the field of glass cockpit simulation," said Xavier Hervé, President and CEO of Mechtronix Systems Inc.
