Rizon Jet, the Middle East and UK-based business aviation group, announced that its maintenance division at its headquarters in Doha, State of Qatar has obtained Qatar CAA Certification as a Part 145 for line maintenance and repair station last Thursday, April 7th, 2011. The MRO facility will be focusing on its maintenance capabilities with Rizon Jet now holding approvals for challenger 604/605 and Hawker 900XP. It also provides support on wheels, tyres and batteries.
The brand new and state-of-the-art Rizon Jet facility can further support USA (Part 91 on an A&P only) for some selected Bombardier business aircraft types as well as the Hawker 700 and 900XP registered aircraft in Bermuda, Cayman Island and Isle of Man.
The company is already in advanced stage of attaining its EASA Part 145 base maintenance approval for Challenger 604/605, Hawker 700, 750XP, 800, 800XP, 850XP and 900XP as well as all series of the Global Express.
For the longer term, the organisation is pursuing approvals for maintenance accreditation on Bermudian, Isle of Man, Pakistan, UAE and Saudi Arabian-registered aircraft. With a very sizable hangar and is capable of accommodating four Global XRS or nine Challenger 604/605 aircraft. Adjoined in-house workshops and technical offices are covering 1,579 m?.
Rizon Jets Maintenance Team consists of highly skilled and experienced technicians who have proven their capabilities with various well renowned and leading business aviation companies around the world. The team will be led by Faisal Alam, General Manager of Rizon Jet Middle East and Paul Macintyre who joined Rizon Jet as Manager of Maintenance from Ocean Sky Engineering where he set up an EASA 145 Bombardier approved aircraft maintenance facility.

In parallel with developments at Doha International Airport, Rizon Jet opened its brand new hangar at London Biggin Hill Airport at the end of August 2010. The MRO facility has been focusing on its maintenance capability with Rizon Jet now holding approvals for the Citation 560 Series, Hawker family 780, 800, 800XP, 850XP, 900XP and 1000, plus the Bombardier Challenger 600 series. It also provides support on wheels, tyres and batteries. Rizon Jet is also in talks with several OEMs to offer maintenance support on several aircraft types.
