328 Support Services displays FAA certified 328DBJ at Aircraft interiors

Following the award of full FAA certification for the 12-seat business aircraft, the 328DBJ., 328 Support Services GmbH will be displaying the unique features of the converted airliner at this year's Aircraft Interiors Show in Hamburg - Hall 6 – booth 6F91. The expanding Oberpfaffenhofen-based company will also be talking up the company's services available for other types of aircraft.

"We've chosen to exhibit at Hamburg's Aircraft Interiors show because we recognise it as an important platform for the interiors industry. We are pleased to display our FAA certified 328DBJ offering, and also show that our services extend beyond Dornier conversions alone," says Dave Jackson, Chief Executive of 328 Support Services. Along with the existing 328 conversions, the company is also producing non-328 monuments and interiors, and has already completed VVIP galleys for two Airbus A340s for an international customer.

At the booth 328 Support Services will invite visitors to experience their luxurious interior seats designed by UK-based ctm design using DeCrane VIP seat frames. The seats on display are the same model which features on Nigeria-based SkyBird Air's new conversions.

Special features of note in the new VVIP 328DBJ interior include an innovative galley concept that maximises space in the forward cabin generating nearly half a metre more working space. The main cabin which has been stretched measures 10 m long, 2.15 m wide and 1.8 m high providing an overall feeling of a heavy jet cabin interior, and can accommodate both a lounge and conference area. With redesigned ceiling and side wall panels featuring electric window blinds and slim-line PSU's, the 328DBJ genuinely feels roomier than previous Envoy models.

328 Support Services can also tailor the IFE to each customer's needs and offers the latest generation full HD standard. Entertainment features include a 32 inch monitor that deploys from the credenza to watch films or acts as the interface to enjoy Play Station games. To provide more convenient connectivity the aircraft is fitted with a WiFi phone system provided by Aircell which gives internet access capability both on the ground and in the air. The new style 328DBJ has already been delivered to a South American customer and 328SSG is working on a further two for SkyBird Air.

"One customer is so delighted with the latest conversion he told us he prefers to remain in his 328DBJ during refuelling stops rather than go into the VIP lounges," commented Ray Mosses, Head of Sales for 328 Support Services. Mosses continued: "With the recent certification of this aircraft we can continue to offer customers "Affordable Luxury" which remains important in the current economic climate. Customers who choose to purchase a 328DBJ can save up to a third of the price of purchasing a new aircraft with the equivalent luxury interior."
