Hawker Pacific announces $SGD15 million private jet customer service centre in Singapore

Hawker Pacific, Asia Pacific's leading Private Jet, Business Aviation and Helicopter sales and services company, today announced the development of a $11.6million ($SGD15million) Customer Sales and Service Centre at Seletar Aerospace Park, confirming the expansion of its regional headquarters and relocation of its current Seletar operations at East Camp, Singapore.

The new development of the 9400sqm Private Jet Centre, to be constructed with Boustead Singapore, includes new capital investment by Hawker Pacific to enhance and expand its service offering and incorporate a full circle of world-class services including a, fully equipped Heavy Maintenance Jet Service Centre, Spares distribution, 'state of the art' Re-Paint facility, VIP reception and FBO, customer and crew lounges, and dedicated undercover Jet parking.

John Riggir, Senior Vice President of Hawker Pacific Asia said: "Our new Service Centre will be significantly larger than our current facility to meet the increasing demand for our services in the region. It has been designed to increase work flow and enhance customer services, and provide exclusive total care solutions.

Alan Smith, Hawker Pacific's CEO said: "This investment reflects our commitment to, and confidence in, the Asia Pacific region, and presents a significant platform to further strengthen Hawker Pacific's sales and FBO network for growth in the future."

"The new facility builds on the launch of our Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre in March 2010, with these back-to-back investments demonstrating our long term expansion plans which are wholly supported by our shareholders and new investors, Seacor".

John Riggir added; "The facilities feature a purpose built 1250sqm Paint facility that complies with the latest in environmental design standards, and has the space to undertake refurbishments up to Boeing BBJ size aircraft."

In addition, the new Service Centre hangar facilities will feature a 3,000sqm heavy maintenance hangar and a 2,500sqm line maintenance and customer parking hangar equipped with its own integrated flight department offices. There is a further 2,500sqm of space dedicated to workshops, spare parts storage, sales, administration, management, FBO facilities and a training centre.

An official signing ceremony will take place at Boustead Singapore on the 22nd February 2011 at 10AM while the completion and move-in date is targeted for late December 2011, with the official opening ceremony timed to coincide with Singapore Airshow 2012.
