Multiflight, the North's leading flight training centre, is expanding its flight training operation to Blackpool International Airport.
Multiflight's new satellite flight training base at Blackpool will offer commercial flight training and multiengine training. It will extend and complement Multiflight's existing successful flight training operation at Leeds Bradford International Airport.
"We are always looking at ways to further improve our flight training offering in the North and our new Blackpool satellite base will enable us to do this, extending our flight training geographic cover and allowing students greater flexibility and choice," said Multiflight Flight Training Centre Manager Mike McKenzie.
The Multiflight flight training base at Blackpool International Airport, which will be located in Hangar 3, is due to open in April. The permanent base will be open seven days a week, year round. It will be staffed by existing Multiflight instructors.
"The satellite base will offer commercial flight training and multiengine training in the first instance, but this may be extended over the coming months," said Mike.
"The Multiflight Flight Training Centre team is very excited about this expansion of our operation and we will all be working hard to ensure it is a success and creates another centre of flight training excellence."
Multiflight offers a full range of aviation services, including: aircraft sales and purchase; plane and helicopter charter; trial flying lessons; complete commercial pilot courses to fly as a professional; private aircraft hangarage, service and repair.
Its Flight Training Centre at Leeds Bradford International Airport, which offers a wide range of courses for both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the country. The contemporary new centre features a reception area with seating; a flight planning and briefing area; purpose-built briefing rooms; a Café Bar, and a purpose-built simulator suite. There is also an onsite CAA-approved medical examiner, Dr Gerald Benjamin, and an onsite CAA-approved Radio Telephony Examiner Malcolm Dobson.
