Steve Fitz-Gerald has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Marshall Aerospace, effective immediately.

Robert Marshall, COO Marshall Group, said: "We are delighted to welcome Steve to Marshall Aerospace. He is an industry leader with a great track record. This is a very important appointment for Marshall Aerospace and the Marshall Group, at a critical time for our industry."

Steve joins Marshall Aerospace with 35 years experience in the Defence Industry, including a succession of leadership roles in Plessey Radar, Marconi, BAE Systems, FR Aviation and, most recently, Cobham. He succeeds Martin Broadhurst, who announced his retirement last year.
