Press Release
Issued by London Biggin Hill Airport Ltd.
November 3, 2010
Construction work commenced on schedule at London's Biggin Hill Airport at the beginning of October on a double-span aircraft hangar alongside the passenger Terminal and bordering the recently finished new 5,000 square metre extension to the Terminal apron. When complete in the late Spring of 2011, the double-span hangar of 120 metres x 40 metres will accommodate all current and projected future generation business aircraft up to BBJ and Airbus CJ for servicing and engineering work. Serviced offices in the admin block will be available for the use of crews and engineers.
Robert Walters, the airport's Business Development Manager, is inviting operators who fly to London regularly to consider establishing base facilities at the new hangar. "Our new Terminal hangar facility will be state-of-the-art for the 21st century and will provide comprehensively for business aircraft visitors. I welcome early discussions with interested parties on making a real difference to their operations into London" says Mr Walters.
