Gama Aviation has scooped the Baltic Air Charter Association's (BACA) Excellence Award for Best General Aviation Operator for the third consecutive year, making 2010 a hat trick for the prestigious title.
Paul Cremer, Commercial Manager, collected the award from sports presenter and broadcaster John Inverdale on behalf of the company at the annual BACA Awards luncheon at London's Guildhall on 26 October. He thanked the brokers and customers for their business and added: "This is for everyone at Gama – in operations, charter and management, IT, engineers, flight crew and admin."
"This endorsement from BACA is a reflection of the effort and hard work contributed by everyone at the company," said Marwan Khalek, Group CEO. "I am thrilled that these efforts have again been recognised by fellow BACA members who fully understand and appreciate the challenges within our industry."
TAG Farnborough Airport, Gama's UK base, was awarded the title of Best Airport 2010. Like Gama it has also been recognised for the accolade three years in a row.
Gama Group company Airops was also celebrating as several winners, including TAG Farnborough and Titan Airways, (which won best passenger charter airline) plus nominees Synergy Aviation and LEA, use Airops software to manage their operations. "This is the fifth year in a row that winners have been an Airops client, which we are very proud of," commented Managing Director Daniel Tee.
