Press Release
Issued by ABS Jets.
October 22, 2010
Executive jets operator ABS Jets broke ground on a new hanger at Prague Ruzyne Airport this Friday, 22 October. The new 6000m2 facilities will triple ABS Jets' currently available hanger capacity and satisfy demonstrated increasing demand. "Hanger space in the new facilities, pre-construction, is already 50% sold," said Radomír Sanák, ABS Jets Commercial Director and Director of Ground Operations.
The new hanger will secure ABS Jets leading presence on the central European executive jet service market. The company currently has 11 planes in its fleet, having added one plane a year since 2004, and plans to further increase the fleet following the construction of the hanger. "In the next 2-3 years, after the hanger is built, we want to enlarge our fleet faster and continue moving along the same trajectory over the next 10 years in order to obtain optimal synergies between operations and services," said Vladimír Peták, ABS Jets Chief Executive Officer.
In addition, the new hanger will make Prague the go-to place for VIP service by allowing for increased ground support and improved FBO handling services. And, it will aid ABS Jets in its role as a full service aircraft manager.
The new ABS Jets hanger should be finished and ready for operation by September 2011. The construction of the hanger is partially financed through external sources, as well as internal investment. "Reinvesting in the company has helped ABS maintain its trend of continuous growth," notes Peták.
The hanger will also continue the tradition of aeronautics innovation at Prague Ruzyne Airport, expanding Prague Ruzyne Airport Terminal 4's line of hangers from three to four. ABS Jets' current 3000m2 Hanger C was originally built in 1937 and purchased in 2006 from CSA, when ABS Jets moved forward on further developing its business jet operations. ABS Jets professionally handles all aviation needs, including full service aircraft management, maintenance, charter services, handling, aircraft sales, and flight planning.
