Air Routing International introduces its own datalink service

Air Routing International ("ARI") (NBAA booth No.1705), a worldwide leader in corporate flight handling to the business aviation industry, has introduced its own datalink service, powered by Satcom Direct's FlightDeck Freedom (FDF) program.

Customers of ARI will now be able to retrieve Air Routing flight information and message content which includes Pre-Departure Clearances (PDC), Digital ATIS (DATIS), text weather, flight plans, Oceanic Departure Clearances, flight tracking, and text message delivery.

"Many of our clients requested that Air Routing provide this datalink service directly as an extension to our international and domestic flight service offerings," said Tim Maystrik, ARI's vice president. "This is a further refinement to the ongoing customer service commitment to which the firm adheres".

"Satcom Direct has been offering information to the cabin for quite a few years and now they are taking their expertise and putting it into a cockpit and electronic flight bag delivery for us."

This service will utilize VHF, Inmarsat, and Iridium data networks to support Honeywell AFIS®, Rockwell Collins RIU/CMU-4000, Teledyne Controls Telelink®, and Universal Avionics Unilink.
