JetEx Flight Support is teaming up with UNICEF to improve the lives of thousands of deprived children worldwide under a new agreement signed by the two agencies. JetEx will grant UNICEF 1% of the revenue generated by the provision of overflight and landing permits worldwide between 15 October 2010 and 15 April 2011.

"JetEx believes that the aviation industry it serves has a strong sense of social obligation and will welcome the opportunity to assist UNICEF, who has a proven record in upholding child rights worldwide," CEO Adel Mardini said. "

The agreement comes at a critical time with only five years remaining until the 2015 deadline for the world to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

"UNICEF welcomes JetEx's initiative and the involvement of the private aviation world in the humanitarian arena," added Abdel-Rahman Ghandour, UNICEF Regional Chief of Communication and Partnerships for Middle East and North Africa. "Together with our partners and supporters, we know we can have a positive impact on children's lives."

UNICEF works with its stakeholders in reducing infant, under–five, and maternal mortality rates, improving the quality and relevance of basic education, promoting investments in water, sanitation and hygiene and strengthening child protection systems.
