October 18, 2010
Rockwell Collins today announced that its Venue™ High Definition (HD) Cabin Management System (CMS) has been selected for installation on Tenencia Aerospace Design's Boeing B757 corporate jet. This announcement, which marks the first installation of Venue on Boeing narrow body corporate jet platforms, was made at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) annual meeting and convention in Atlanta, Georgia.
"We continue to expand the opportunities for business jet passengers to enjoy a Venue cabin, regardless of the size of their aircraft," said Tommy Dodson, vice president and general manager, Cabin Systems for Rockwell Collins. "The installation of Venue on a narrow body platform is made possible through the addition of new Venue capabilities specifically designed to meet the requirements of a larger cabin."
New Venue capabilities include flight attendant call functionality, control of satellite TV, and ability to host audio and video briefings over the cabin displays.
Venue is the industry's first complete, HD cabin management system for business aircraft that includes the features and functionality of the most advanced home entertainment systems and executive suites.
