Gore Design Completions, Ltd. welcomes first Boeing 777-200 for interior modification

Gore Design Completions, Ltd (GDC) welcomed a Boeing 777-200LR for completion to its newly expanded hangar last week. The aircraft, for a central Asian head of state, is the first of its kind to be modified at Gore Design Completions. GDC has previously completed two other aircraft for this customer dating back to 2004. The first, a Boeing 767-300ER, was the third airplane contracted by Jerry Gore and Kathy Gore-Walters after opening their doors as a completion center in 2000. The customer's second airplane, a Boeing 737, was completed late last year.

The interior specification for this aircraft calls for a luxurious VIP suite to include a stateroom, dressing room and office. Despite being the third aircraft for the same customer, this project stands alone in its design scheme. "Every inch of this aircraft was designed from scratch. Knowing the customer's preferences helps us build an interior that they will love, but at the same time it is important for us to keep the design fresh and interesting," says co-owner Kathy Gore-Walters. Re-delivery of the aircraft is slated for late 2011.
