CMC Electronics is launching an improved version of its certified, second-generation SureSight® CMA-2600 I-Series™ integrated sensor system for Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) applications. The CMA-2600i will offer enhancements in image processing within the existing hardware as well as improvements in optics and wave band filtering. The CMA-2600i integrated sensor system has been selected by Rockwell Collins for use on the recently launched Challenger* BEVS program for the new widebody Bombardier Challenger 605* jet.
Jean-Pierre Mortreux, President and CEO, CMC Electronics, "We are delighted to be working with Bombardier and Rockwell Collins on the Challenger 605 jet. This selection builds on the superior in-service performance of our currently certified CMA-2600 sensor and represents the fifth OEM platform for our SureSight I-Series integrated sensor systems."
CMC's SureSight CMA-2600 integrated sensor system is currently used by Thales/Bombardier on the Global Express* platform and by Rockwell Collins on the Dassault F2000 EASy series business aircraft.
CMC's SureSight family of integrated sensor systems for EFVS applications is designed to meet demanding video performance, reliability and quality standards, and continues to be the leading choice for airframe manufacturers and prime contractors. CMC's EFVS sensors offer enhanced situational awareness in adverse operating conditions and enable operators to take advantage of regulations expanding the operational capabilities of aircraft equipped with an EFVS.
