July 21, 2007
So pleased is Austrian flight training company Simulatorzentrum with its new Elite Evolution S812 FNPT II simulator's performance – and the speedy delivery time – that the organisation has immediately ordered a second Elite device.
Simulatorzentrum is based at Wiener Neudorf, south of the Austrian capital, and was looking to add a new flight simulator to its teaching tools. It wasn't just quality and high performance they were looking for but also a rapid delivery time.
Elite Simulation Solutions, manufacturer of the world's most advanced PC-based systems, scored on all three counts and won Simulatorzentrum's order.
The Elite Evolution S812 FNPT II simulator, is configured to represent the Beech Baron B58 twin engine aircraft and is equipped with a three-channel visual system. It has been certified for use by the Austrian CAA in accordance to JAR-STD 3A and is now in service at Simulatorzentrum's base. It is being operated in conjunction with jetstart - theflightschoolcompany.
Franz Hornung, CEO of Simulatorzentrum, said of its new S812: "It is the newest and most modern FNPT simulator in Austria and we are highly delighted with its performance. Elite gave us what we wanted – a very good simulator on a short delivery time scale. We had no hesistation in ordering a second Elite device to meet growing demand."
The flight training school offers PPL training on the Cessna 152 and Cessna 172 singles and the latter and the Piper Seneca III twin piston for CPL/IR work. For pilots wanting to go the jet route, it completes training with a Cessna Citation twin jet.
The new order is for an Elite Evolution S923 FNPT II MCC, which will cater for the FTO's expansion and also allow Multi Crew co-operation training to be given. It will be based on the Beech King Air B200 twin turbine aircraft.
