Houston (William P Hobby) Airport
Press Release
Issued by Galaxy FBO.
April 1, 2026
Galaxy FBO is continuing to invest in the future of business aviation in Texas with the expansion of its hangar infrastructure at both Houston William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Conroe North Houston Regional Airport (CXO). These developments reflect Galaxy's long-term commitment to supporting growing demand across the Greater Houston region while delivering modern, scalable facilities for operators and aircraft owners.
Galaxy FBO's expansion across Houston, Texas reinforces its broader mission to provide consistent, high-quality service backed by modern infrastructure and industry-leading safety standards. With IS-BAH Stage II certification, a growing network of facilities and continued investment in key markets, Galaxy remains focused on delivering reliability and performance, earning trust at every turn.
Building on the momentum in Houston, Galaxy FBO has also broken ground on a new hangar development at Conroe North Houston Regional Airport, designated as Hangar 15F. Located on the north side of the airfield, the new facility is scheduled for completion in January 2027 and will feature 21,875 sq. ft. of hangar space, along with 4,200 sq. ft. of office and storage space. Once complete, this will mark Galaxy's 10th hangar at CXO, bringing its total managed hangar footprint on the field to approximately 220,000 square feet.
The Greater Houston region continues to experience strong growth in business aviation activity, driven by corporate migration, energy sector demand and international connectivity. Both HOU and CXO serve complementary roles within Greater Houston area as a premier international gateway, and CXO as a high-capacity, uncongested alternative for operators seeking efficiency and flexibility. Both projects reflect Galaxy's approach to development: purpose-built facilities designed around aircraft performance, operational efficiency and customer experience. From clear-span hangars and optimised ramp access to integrated concierge services, each location is designed to meet the evolving needs of today's flight departments and charter operators.
Galaxy FBO recently completed its fourth hangar at Houston Hobby Airport, adding approximately 29,000 square feet of dedicated aircraft storage to its HOU campus. Designed to accommodate a wide range of aircraft, from light jets to large-cabin business aircraft, the new hangar enhances Galaxy's ability to support both based tenants and transient traffic in one of the most active business aviation markets in the country. Strategically located near U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Galaxy FBO Houston provides operators with seamless access to international arrivals, premium passenger lounges and full concierge services. The addition of this hangar further strengthens Galaxy's position as a preferred gateway to Houston for corporate and international aviation.
Construction for both developments has been led by Moon Commercial Construction.
