Demand for lifesaving care continued right through to the end of 2025, as Magpas provided 24/7 cover across the Christmas period, responding to 56 emergencies between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
Since the service’s aviation provider was sold earlier this year, Magpas has been working to find a new heli provider. The AW109 SP has now landed and will start operations soonest.
Staff have been moving the AW169, their operations and lifesaving service into the newly constructed airbase, headquarters and training centre in Cambridgeshire.
