Staff have been moving the AW169, their operations and lifesaving service into the newly constructed airbase, headquarters and training centre in Cambridgeshire.

John Bridge takes over the role of Magpas Air Ambulance chairman from Nigel Brown, who ended his 10 years as chairman of the lifesaving charity earlier this year in its 50th anniversary. Funding a new facility is underway.

The AW169 appears to be the aircraft of choice for air ambulance operators in the UK, and Magpas' bid to bring the type to the east of England is nearing fruition. The company will be able to widen its net and assist more people using the upgraded helicopter.
