WAA has grown from a one-helicopter operation based at Swansea airport to what is now the largest air ambulance operation in the UK, with four Airbus H145 helicopters and a fleet of rapid response vehicles.

Gama Aviation has taken to the skies in support of the Wales Air Ambulance. With four H145s, it is giving the charity a consistent fleet of advanced helicopters to deliver Wales' vital air ambulance service.

The helicopter bears a distinctive green dragon’s tail and has been named G-LOYW in a vote by the people of Wales – it means bright or shining in Welsh.
