Optima Aero has launched an initiative to recognise carbon footprint avoidance through the re-use of serviceable helicopters parts. The first green certificates were presented to Airbus and Babcock France.

The Anglet facility will enable Optima to dismantle entire helicopters directly in Europe, thus reducing its carbon footprint. The team will also have the capability to certify helicopter parts.

Optima Aero Europe will begin helicopter dismantling and parts redistribution operations on 4 May, 2022 in Biarritz, France. It will market the parts across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
