The IBAC DG Award was named after the directional gyroscope (DG), the mechanism behind the heading indicator used by pilots for navigation. Scott Macpherson is the deserved recipient following faithful service.

Key contributions to the development of the iPACK workshop included significant instruction design leadership provided by TrainingPort.net, a Vancouver-based business aviation training provider, and MedAire experts.

The addition of TrainingPort.net to AVIAA's network gives its members access to a variety of short online lessons; enhanced digital learning for pilots, dispatchers, ground handlers, technicians and cabin crew.
