Santa Clara combats lead impact with GAMI Avgas

With the addition of G100UL, Santa Clara County now offers aircraft operators two choices in unleaded avgas: G100UL and UL94. UL94 is FAA-certified for use in approximately 68 per cent of piston-powered aircraft.

Industry groups have urged the FAA to take action regarding Santa Clara County's ban on the sale of 100LL. They want to prohibit individual airports from interrupting the availability of avgas.
