The Stratos experimental 716X is a stepping stone to the Stratos certified 716. It conforms to the same precise aerodynamic loft contours, and it's built to the same strength standards as the certified model.
The Stratos 716X will be offered as an experimental kit build aircraft while the 716 will be certified by the FAA for production. The single-engine VLJ is designed to cruise at 400 kts and is constructed from carbon fibre.
