Jetex Marrakech is 300th IS-BAH location
IBAC's International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling has surpassed 300 locations since its inception.

The IBAC ground handling safety standard, IS-BAH, has now reached 300 registered locations since it was first introduced in 2014. This month, Jetex Marrakech in Morocco became the 300th ground handling organisation to achieve IS-BAH Stage I registration.

IS-BAH programme director Terry Yeomans has been in this role since the programme began: "We congratulate all the organisations worldwide that helped us reach this milestone and offer a special thank you to them for setting the safety bar high for business aviation ground handling. We look forward to others joining us as the IS-BAH programme continues to grow."

IBAC director general Kurt Edwards adds: "IS-BAH was the first industry standard to bring the SMS concept to ground handling, and we are proud of reaching this 300th milestone. As a voluntary standard, like IS-BAO, organisations that commit to integrating these industry best safety practices into their day-to-day operations, and work toward continuous improvement, are to be commended."

IS-BAH is designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of business and general aviation ground handling service providers on a global level. It is based on the implementation of industry best practices blended through a progressive safety management system appropriate to the scale and nature of the providers, including FBOs and business aircraft handling agencies. IS-BAH follows the structure of the IS-BAO programme and is the global industry standard for handlers and operators around the world to meet the coming SMS requirements from the ICAO.
