TAM Executive Aviation, largest exhibitor for LABACE's fifth consecutive edition, celebrates 40 years of partnership with Textron

After a three-year hiatus prompted by the pandemic, the city of São Paulo in Brazil is once again hosting LABACE, the largest and most important business aviation fair in Latin America. And TAM Executive Aviation, the largest exhibitor for the fifth consecutive edition, is present at the event in a special moment in which it celebrates 40 years of partnership with the giant Textron and announces a new service centre in Goiânia.

The company is now number one in the sale of executive aircraft in Brazil and the official representative of the manufacturers Beechcraft, Cessna and Bell, in addition to the world leader in training, FlightSafety. Such partnerships, signed with pioneer companies in their segments, allow TAM Executive Aviation to offer a vast and diversified portfolio of products and services to the national market, like no other company in the country.

One of these partnerships, signed with the American OEM Textron Aviation, manufacturer of the traditional Cessna and Beechcraft models, completes four decades now in 2022 and is one of the themes being celebrated by TAM Executive Aviation at LABACE. “This distant and solid relationship is a source of great pride for us at TAM, as it highlights one of our pillars, which is the long-term relationship with partners, suppliers, customers and employees, in addition to exemplifying how committed we are to the development of the sector and committed to offering the best and most advanced business aviation in the world to the domestic market. This is a goal also shared by Textron, which puts us on the same path and has sustained this successful partnership for 40 years,” highlights Leonardo Fiuza, president of TAM Executive Aviation.

Another great piece of news announced by TAM AE at LABACE is the opening of a new service centrefor executive aircraft in Goiânia (GO), at Santa Genoveva Airport, a strategic region that facilitates both the service of aircraft from Brazil's midwest region and from more distant regions, including the north and northeast of the country. With this, TAM Executive Aviation has increased its maintenance service capacity and expanded its hubs beyond the already established bases in Belo Horizonte (MG) and Jundiaí (SP), the latter being the largest service centre for executive aircraft in Latin America.

Committed to making this resumption of LABACE a special edition, TAM Executive Aviation has brought nine aircraft to the event, including pistons, turboprops, jets and helicopters, which keeps it in the position of the largest exhibitor at the event for the fifth consecutive time. In addition to the already traditional ultra-technological and advanced models, this year TAM has also brought two relics to the event: classic single-engine aircraft from the 50s and 60s, one of them beingthe original Cessna 195 that belonged to Commander Rolim, founder of the company. The list of aircraft on display is completed by the single-engine Cessna 180, the Grand Caravan EX and King Air 360 turboprops, the Citation M2, Citation CJ3+ and the Citation Latitude jets, in addition to the Bell 407 and Bell 429 helicopters.

“We are very excited about the return of LABACE, as in addition to being the largest fair in the sector in the country, it is the starting point for the realisation and creation of many new businesses. Expectations are the best possible, even more so this year, when the market is heated,” says Fiuza. “We have aircraft scheduled for delivery in 18 or even 24 months. We also recorded a significant increase in charter and maintenance sales, and our expectation is to expand these numbers even further in 2022. We hope that LABACE will corroborate this resul.”

Another segment that has presented excellent results for TAM over the last two years is chartering, management, aircraft administration and FBO.

Recently, TAM Executive Aviation achieved two global certifications: IS-BAH and IS-BAO, both granted by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), becoming the only executive aviation company in the country to have both seals. This fact attests that TAM follows the best practices for domestic and international airport services and also in flight operations, in addition to placing the company on another level, since some of the most important and renowned companies in the world only allow their executives to use charter flights from companies that have IS-BAO certification.

A new partnership was also signed between TAM and AEG Fuels, one of the main suppliers of aviation fuel and trip support in the world. “We recently partnered with AEG Fuels, through the AEG Connect programme and became part of the select group of partners in the AEG Connect family, which is undoubtedly a great recognition of our work as one of the biggest and best Brazilian FBOs,” says Heron Nobre, director of air services and FBO.

In the field of charter, as Brazil has continental dimensions and commercial flights do not reach the entire country, the demand for charter flights is grow every day. The charter service is differentiated, exclusive and private, following high safety standards. TAM offers a modern and well-diversified fleet of planes and helicopters, meeting the diverse needs of its customers' missions in Brazil and abroad. In addition, it offers security and immigration procedures in exclusive areas, private departure lounges, a dedicated team and 24-hour monitoring of operations, exclusive meals and aircraft cleaning on each flight.

The fleet management market, in turn, was already growing before the pandemic and has continued to grow. “We are at a great time for customers to place their aircraft under our management, as they can certainly count on the safety and convenience of having an aircraft operated by TAM Executive Aviation. We also believe that this may be a market trend that will continue for the next few years, as our customers are increasingly concerned with the core business of their respective companies and optimising their flights and assets, such as the executive plane,” highlights Nobre.
